ASX Release Chief Geologist Appointed

Navarre Minerals Limited (ASX:NML) announced today that Steve Harper had been appointed as Chief Geologist. Steve was formerly with Northgate Minerals Corporation and prior to that, with Kagara Zinc and Xstrata’s Mount Isa Mines.

Managing Director Geoff McDermott said, “We’re delighted that Steve has joined the team at our new operations base in Stawell. Steve will spear‐head our exploration program, which is targeting exciting base metal and gold prospects in Victoria.”

On 7 May, Navarre plans to start drilling the southern end of its Tandarra gold prospect, 40 km north of the Bendigo Gold Field, targeting mineralisation believed to be under shallow cover of between 20m and 50m thickness. The program is scheduled for completion by the end of May with drill results expected in June.

Previous air‐core drilling at the Tandarra prospect intersected high grade gold mineralisation within a defined structural corridor of gold and quartz mineralisation of over 7km in strike length.
