AudioCodes Media Gateways Now Rated “Avaya Compliant”
MediaPack™ MP-11x and Mediant™ 1000 gateways are compatible with Avaya Communication Manager and SIP Enablement Services
Lod, Israel – October 31 2006 - AudioCodes (NASDAQ:AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network Products, today announced that its MediaPack™ MP-11x and Mediant™ 1000 gateways are compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
AudioCodes' MediaPack and Mediant gateways enable connectivity to legacy analog phones, fax machines and remote branch offices, as well as connectivity to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) using digital and analog interfaces. These gateways now have been tested for interoperability with Avaya Communication Manager 3.1.2, an industry-leading IP telephony application, and Avaya SIP Enablement Services 3.1. Avaya SIP Enablement Services bridge the public switched telephone network and Internet worlds by providing a standards-based architecture for telephony, instant messaging and other enterprise communications.
Through the interoperability of AudioCodes gateways and Avaya application software, enterprises can use the wide-area network to extend telephony features and capabilities to every office in their distributed organization, no matter how remote.

"We are pleased that our media gateways have passed Avaya's interoperability test, providing the enterprise customer a truly open, standards-based, cost-effective, IP communications solution," said Lior Moyal, Vice President of Marketing for the CPE Business Line, North America at AudioCodes.
AudioCodes is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.
As a member of the program, AudioCodes is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like AudioCodes who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
