AudioCodes Launches TP-260/SIP PCI Media Gateway

Already deployed at select customer sites

Lod, Israel – October 6, 2004 – AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the availability of a standalone, SIP controlled version of its widely deployed TP-260 PCI VoIP Media Gateway board. The TP-260/SIP PCI VoIP Media Gateway is a cost-effective, standards compliant, complete media gateway on a PCI board. This board is an independent SIP VoIP gateway in a PCI form factor designed to support OEM vendors of PC based servers.

The TP-260/SIP offers developers increased capabilities for creating PCI-based platforms for enhanced voice services and enterprise applications. Offered in densities of 1, 2, 4 and 8 E1/T1s on a single PCI slot, the TP-260/SIP is an excellent building block for a diverse range of applications for media gateways and media servers. The TP-260/SIP enables seamless migration of existing PSTN-based voice servers to support VoIP.

The TP-260/SIP features include support for PSTN protocols such as ISDN PRI and multiple CAS variants, VoIP streaming, various voice coders including G.711, G.723.1, G.729 and many more, G.168 2002 echo cancellation, real-time fax over IP/T.38 and wide selection of in-band/out-band tone detection and generation. The board is in a Universal PCI form factor and controlled via an industry standard network control protocol – SIP.
