ASX announcement 29 January 2019
Audinate (ASX: AD8) previews Dante AV Module and Dante AV Product Design Suite
Audinate Group Limited (‘Audinate’ or the ‘Company’), developer of the professional AV-industry leading Dante® audio over IP networking solution, today announced the preview of the Dante AV Module and the Dante AV Product Design Suite at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe tradeshow in Amsterdam from 5 – 8 February 2019.
This preview of video products is consistent with the Company’s IPO prospectus strategy to pursue expansion and growth into the video market. The video market represents a significant opportunity and management estimates that entry into this segment can ultimately double Audinate’s potential total addressable market.
The Dante AV Module provides networked video and audio signal distribution to manufacturers of professional AV equipment. Dante AV offers the benefits of Dante technology including simplified setup, low latency and synchronization to video products. The module distributes one video channel and 8 audio channels across standard IT networks. This product is expected to be commercially available in the middle of 2019.
Audinate will also demonstrate the Dante AV Product Design Suite , providing a complete HDMIover-IP product design to accelerate manufacturers’ time to market. The HDMI-over-IP design incorporates the Dante AV Module and includes a comprehensive set of documentation and software to create fully interoperable AV products. A complete product design enables Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to rapidly develop Dante AV products.
Audinate expects that the Dante AV Product Design Suite will be available by the end of 2019 and that video products will commence contributing to revenue in FY20.
CEO Lee Ellison commented that “Customers want us to bring the “V to AV”. With Dante AV, we are excited to make that a reality. The Dante AV Module and the Dante AV Product Design Suite will enable manufacturers to quickly get integrated audio and video products to market, with all of the benefits Dante has to offer. With Dante AV, we’re taking everything we've learned from years in networked audio to the video world, and delivering on our vision of a truly integrated, easy to use and interoperable AV experience.”
Further technical detail on the Dante AV Module and the Dante AV Product Design Suite will shortly be available in the press release section of the Audinate website on the following link: https://www.audinate.com/about/news-activity/press-releases
