ASX announcement

Audinate (ASX: AD8) announces commercial availability of Dante AV
Audinate Group Limited (‘Audinate’ or the ‘Company’), developer of the professional AV-industry leading Dante® audio over IP networking solution, today announced the Dante AV Module™ and the Dante AV Product Design Suite™ products are now commercially available for order by manufacturers. This fulfils a prospectus commitment and this announcement marks the beginning of video capabilities in Dante.
Patton Electronics, a US manufacturer and OEM/ODM supplier of networking and connectivity solutions for ProAV and Telephony, is the first customer to sign a purchase order and will be among the first to adopt Dante AV by adding the platform into a new generation of AV-Over-IP products.
Dante AV Offerings
The Dante AV Module™ supports one video channel and 8 channels of uncompressed Dante audio over a 1Gbps network and enables manufacturers to easily add sophisticated video and audio networking to their products.
A companion product, the Dante AV Product Design Suite™, is a ready-to-manufacture product design, including video compression and built around the Dante AV Module™. Dante AV Product Design Suite™ enables manufacturers to get quickly to market using a turnkey product design. Orders for the Dante AV Product Design Suite are expected to be fulfilled towards the end of 2019.
Dante AV is an integrated audio and video networking solution, bringing to video all the benefits that have made Dante the market-leading audio over IP solution: discovery, ease-of-use and integrated control. Support for content protection is a notable feature of Dante AV and is critical for commercial applications involving copyrighted or paid-for content. Additionally, the audio functions in Dante AV are completely interoperable with more than 2,000 Dante-enabled audio products already on the market.
“Bringing Dante AV to market is the culmination of our work to add the V to AV,” said Bob Ehlers, VP of product management at Audinate. “By adding video to Dante we are making it easier for manufacturers to add robust and integrated audio and video capabilities. In turn, that means a better AV experience for all end users who depend on – and have come to love – Dante and Dante-enabled products and solutions. We are incredibly pleased and honored to have Patton adopt Dante AV.”
