Highlights

• Audeara has secured a chip-level AI audio licensing agreement with OPTEK Microelectronics, a leading system-on-chip (SoC) design company in China.

• Agreement includes licensing of Audeara’s proprietary AUAI audio processing algorithms, including AI Noise Reduction and Media Personalisation, for integration into OPTEK SoC platforms.

• OPTEK supplies audio SoC solutions to a global customer base of major consumer and professional electronics brands, including Sharp, Philips, Panasonic, Toshiba and TEAC.

• Licensing model is revenue-generative for Audeara on a fee-per-chip usage basis for agreed OEM/ODM customer programs.

• The agreement expands Audeara’s addressable market by embedding its AI audio technology at the silicon level across global product platforms.

Audeara Limited (“Audeara” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Software Licensing Cooperation Agreement with OPTEK Microelectronics Co., Ltd (Optek), a leading Shenzhen-based system-on-chip (SoC) design company.

Under the agreement, Audeara will license selected technologies from its proprietary AUAI Algorithm suite for integration into Optek SoC platforms. Licensed technologies include:

• AUAI NR – AI Noise Reduction;

• AUAI MPA – Media Personalisation Algorithm;

• Customised audio processing libraries for Optek SoC platforms; and

• Project-specific audio software tools and base functional IP

The licensing agreement enables AUA Technology AI audio technologies to be embedded directly into Optek chipsets. The agreement will be revenue-generative for Audeara on a fee-per-chip basis for designated customer programs. The licence granted is non-exclusive and applies only to agreed hardware platforms and customer applications.

The Optek agreement marks a further expansion of the global addressable market for AUA Technology products, and will include the deployment of AUIA NR - Audeara’s proprietary AI-based noise optimisation tool which was developed in collaboration with Optek to meet specific customer use-cases within Optek’s product ecosystem.

Attendees included Peter Li (Optek CEO), Bill Peng (Audeara COO), Steven Heng (Eastech SAVP), and Devy Xie (Optek COO), representing the senior leadership teams of all three organisations.

Audeara CEO, James Fielding, commented:

The agreement does not include minimum order quantities, with revenue generated as and when Optek customer programs incorporating Audeara’s technology progress to production.
