The issuer has the sole responsibility of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– GRANTING OF THE BUSINESS LICENSE CHINA On April 18th AT&S (China) Company Ltd., a 100 % subsidiary of AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG, received the Business License issued by the Shanghai Administration of Industry & Commerce Bureau. With the granting of this business license AT&S (China) Company Lltd can now officially start with its business activities. On May 19th the construction of the new plant in Shanghai will begin. The production launch in this advanced HDI/Microvia PCB plant will take place in the course of the first six months of 2001. The ramp-up of the final construction stage should be terminated by the end of 2004. By then the monthly production output of the Shanghai plant will reach 19,000 sqm. The total investment volume for the construction of this PCB plant will amount to EUR 145 million.
