AT&S production in Leoben may be affected by fire in Panasonic plant in Austria
Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP – a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Today AT&S was informed about a fire in the Panasonic Plant in Enns, Austria, where laminates, a base material used by the printed circuit board industry, are produced. This plant supplies AT&S Austria Technologie und Systemtechnik AG with laminates for the production of printed circuit boards in Leoben-Hinterberg. From today’s point of view and after consultation with the Panasonic Management, AT&S anticipates the possibility of delays in the supply of this material. It is nevertheless not possible for the moment to quantify the consequences of the fire at Panasonic on the AT&S production in Leoben-Hinterberg, especially because the damage has not yet been established. Furthermore Panasonic runs another plant for this product in Italy, where supply might come from and in addition AT&S presently is considering the possibility of switching to other suppliers. As soon as additional information on the potential consequences for AT&S are established, we will publish them immediately.
