Ad hoc-Service: AT&S Austr. T. & Systemt. english

Ad hoc announcement processed and transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– INTRODUCTION OF SHORT TIME WORK IN THE AUGSBURG PLANT Due to the very low demand for printed circuit boards in the telecommunication infrastructure industry, and the resulting unsatisfactory incoming order situation in the Augsburg plant, which accounts for about 10% of the Groups total revenues, short time work has been introduced as of today in this plant. There are no plans to introduce such a measure in the other plants of AT&S AG as capacity utilization runs between 60% and 90%. We expect an amelioration of the demand situation in the international PCB market within the next three months. For the full year 2001/2002 we expect to achieve the following results: Total revenues: EUR 410 million EBIT margin: > 10% EPS: EUR 0,90 The preliminary full year result for the fiscal year 2000/2001 will be published on June 1, 2001.
