AT&S Austr. T. & Systemt. english

Current order situation and business outlook for AT&S Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Due to news currently out in the telecom and semiconductor industry we would like to comment on the current order situation and business outlook for AT&S. Despite a positive trend in October and November and especially in the handheld sector we have seen a slowdown of incoming orders again beginning end of December 2001. As of today we are therefore expecting total sales for fiscal year ending March 31, 2002 to be about 15 % down from last year. Due to orders on short notice and due to a lack of longer-term customer feedback guidance for fiscal year 2002/03 can also only be provided to a very limited extent. We are assuming, however, that a material part of the expected volume growth will be offset by price reductions. We hope to be able to provide a more detailed business outlook during our 3. Quarter 2001/02 results presentation on February 12, 2002.
