ATOSS Software AG: ATOSS wins major assignment from EDEKA

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Press release ATOSS wins major assignment from EDEKA Munich, 17.05.2006 – ATOSS Software AG has garnered major orders from three regional companies which belong to the EDEKA Group. This new business is an opportunity for ATOSS to further expand the strong position it already occupies in the wholesale and retail sector as a specialist providing software solutions for intelligent personnel deployment. The new assignments also confirm that the positive business development the company has recently enjoyed is set to continue. ATOSS last won a major order from EDEKA Minden-Hannover Holding GmbH in 2004. The new assignments were awarded by trading companies EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Südwest mbH, Offenburg, EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Südbayern mbH, Gaimersheim, and EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Nord GmbH, Neumünster. They also establish the basis for more extensive and closer cooperation between the EDEKA Group and ATOSS Software AG in the future. Thanks to these major orders, ATOSS will be able to reinforce its position as a provider of high-end solutions for work-schedule management and personnel deployment and continue the successful business development begun the first quarter of 2006, which saw particularly pleasing growth in trade from major customers. On the basis of these orders, and after receiving another important order by a new customer, ATOSS upgraded its forecast of business results on May 11, 2006: according to the new figures, the company expects to achieve an EBIT of at least € 2.3 m this year, thus significantly exceeding what it earned last year (€ 0.6 m) and in 2004 (€ 1.2 m). Also, the company hereby expects operating profits in 2006, at least on the level of its most successful business year 2003. Moreover, if business continues to develop in such a favorable manner, the company believes it may even exceed this EBIT forecast.
