Atlantic Grupa Expands Strategic Collaboration with Spider Group

Cedevita d.o.o., operating company of Atlantic Grupa, signed an agreement with Spider Group on the sale and purchase of its tea business. Spider Group is a long-term contractual partner in the production of wellknown brands of teas, namely Cedevita čaj and Naturavita. The transaction implies consolidating the assortment under the unified brand Naturavita, which as of January 1, 2016 will be owned by Spider Group, while the strategic cooperation of the two companies will continue through a distribution partnership. Through its distribution network, Atlantic Grupa will continue to distribute the subject assortment of teas on all markets where it is currently present, both in retail and in the HoReCa channel.

Atlantic Grupa adopted a decision on the spin-off and sale of the total tea business so that the business focus of Cedevita d.o.o. could be entirely dedicated to its core operations – instant vitamin drinks. Teas under the brands Cedevita and Naturavita have a share of 15.5 percent and are the second player on the Croatian market. Within Spider Group as a new owner with extensive experience and expertise in the production of teas, the assortment will receive an added focus.

Spider Group is the leading regional producer and processor of medicinal and aromatic plants and products based on medicinal herbs, with its headquarters in Pitomača.
