Share Purchase Plan – Extension of Closing Date

Athena Resources Limited (ASX : AHN) refers to the recent ASX releases on 25 August 2014 and 21 August 2014, relating to the detailed gravity survey, commencement of drilling and down hole EM at the Byro project.

The directors believe, therefore, that it is in the best interest of shareholders to extend the closing date of the Share Purchase Plan ( SPP ).

This will provide shareholders with the opportunity to consider the initial results of the work at Byro before deciding on any participation in the SPP. Work currently underway and due for completion by 10 September 2014 includes:

• Detailed gravity survey at the Milly Milly intrusion.

• Down Hole EM on AHDH001 500m hole and BCR012 180m hole.

• Drilling at the Mt Narryer Magnetite target at Byro.

• Drilling the DSO Iron targets at Byro including Tabaroa South, Happy Union and Think Big North.

• Collation of Down Hole EM and Gravity at the Milly Milly intrusion.

The Company anticipates that it will release assay results for the above work in the coming weeks. The SPP will now close on Wednesday 24 September 2014. However, the Directors reserve the right to further extend the closing date at their discretion.

The revised key dates to the SPP will now be as follows:
