Appointment of Director – Mr David Webster

The Board of Directors of Athena Resources Limited is please to advise the appointment of David Webster as a Director of the Company.

David was instrumental in restructuring the Australian wool industry, getting the industry back to profitability and is currently a Director of Australian Wool Innovations Limited (AWI) and Australian Wool Testing Authority Limited. As a director of AWI he is Chairman of the Finance & Audit Committee, a member of the Remuneration & Appointments Committee and On-Farm RDI Scientific & Welfare Committee.

He has in recently been involved in extensive Chinese investment into agriculture and associated infrastructure in Australia.

Mr Webster has spent his working life putting together a wool growing, livestock and cropping enterprise. A keen student of economics, he is a strong advocate of private enterprise commerciality and competition. He has very strong views on upholding the rights of farmers without undue regulation and impediments to running their businesses. Mr Webster places a high priority on giving value to shareholders.

David brings to Athena his vast commercial experience together with experience with working with government at the highest levels both in Australia and overseas.
