ASX BOARD RENEWAL
The Board of ASX Limited (ASX) announces the appointment of Ms Yasmin Allen as a non-executive director of the company effective today.
This continues ASX’s Board renewal program, which has seen the appointments of Mr Dominic Stevens in December 2013 and Mr Damian Roche in August 2014. Ms Allen will stand for election at ASX’s Annual General Meeting on 30 September 2015.
ASX Chairman, Mr Rick Holliday-Smith, welcomed the new appointment, saying: “I am delighted that Yasmin Allen has agreed to join the ASX Board. Having served with Yasmin on the Board of Cochlear, I have firsthand experience of her qualities as a director, including her business acumen, particularly in financial services, strategic thinking and commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance.”
Ms Allen has more than 20 years’ experience in finance and investment banking, having served in senior positions at Deutsche Bank, ANZ and HSBC Group. She is a director of Cochlear Limited, Insurance Australia Group Limited and Santos Limited. Ms Allen is also a director of the National Portrait Gallery and a member of The George Institute for Global Health Board. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
