Donald Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (100% controlled by Astron Limited)
Donald Mineral Sands Pty Ltd owns EL 4433 and EL4432 which together the comprise the Donald Mineral Sands Project (Donald Project)
PRODUCTION
During the quarter the Donald Project did not conduct any production activities.
DEVELOPMENT
During the quarter development on the Donald Project continued. The following was undertaken:
Geology
- Further work was undertaken and continues on the Donald resource to better define the resource under JORC.
Mining
- The mine method and mine plans have been more accurately investigated to ascertain the most viable option.
Cultural heritage
- Stage 1 site surveys were undertaken and completed. A development plan for Stage 2 will now be developed during the quarter in consultation with all stakeholders.
Processing
- Continued development of the infrastructure and processing requirements.
Water
- Discussion with GWMW on supplying water to the project is ongoing.
Capital and operating cost estimates
- Capital expenditure has been more accurately defined.

- RJ Robbins has completed the detailed construction schedule.

Astron Gambian and Senegal Investments
The Gambia Mineral Sands Project
Further to the previous announcements with respect to the Gambian mining operations there was no activity for the current period to report.
The uncertainty continues with regard to the mining licence, company situation and the claim against The Gambian Government.
Senegal Mineral Sands Project
Astron has employed Mark Coetzee as project executive to manage the operations in Senegal.
