Termination of Share Subscription Agreement with Zambezi Resources Limited

As previously announced, on 28 January 2009 Astron Limited ( Astron ) entered into a Share Subscription Agreement ( Agreement ) with Zambezi Resources Limited ( Zambezi ) under which Astron agreed to subscribe for a number of shares in connection with a proposed placement being undertaken by Zambezi.

The Agreement was conditional on, amongst other things, shareholders of Zambezi approving the issue of shares in Zambezi and the satisfactory completion of due diligence by Astron. Each of these conditions was required to be satisfied prior to 9 March 2009.

As the conditions precedent to the Agreement were not satisfied prior to 9 March 2009, Astron exercised its right to terminate the Agreement with effect from 11 March 2009.
