Assura plc ("Assura"), the UK's leading primary care investor and developer, announces that it has been informed that Andrew Darke, Property Director, intends to step down from the Board of Assura at the end of the financial year to pursue personal business interests.

Andrew retains his responsibilities and will continue in his current role until the end of March 2018 and thereafter he plans to continue to work for the business in a reduced capacity as a consultant.

Jonathan Murphy, CEO commented; "Andrew has played a key role in building the property team and in delivering the significant growth of the business, in particular, over the past five years.  On behalf of the Board I would like to express my gratitude to him for his significant contribution and we wish him well in his future endeavours."

Andrew Darke commented, "After fourteen years with Assura I have decided to step down from the Board at the end of the financial year.  I am fortunate to have worked with a business that has had a positive impact on the UK's health infrastructure, working alongside a quality management team and benefiting from a strong culture. I wish everyone involved with Assura continued success in the future."
