Associated British Foods plc (the 'Company') is pleased to announce today that Dame Heather Rabbatts has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 March 2021.
Heather is currently a non-executive director of Kier Group plc, where she is Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee, the Risk Management and Audit Committee and the Safety, Health and Environment Committee.
Heather has held a number of executive and non-executive roles including in local government, infrastructure, media and sports. She has previously been a non-executive director of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland and was the first woman on the Board of the Football Association in over 150 years. She currently chairs Soho Theatre and marketing company Four Communications and continues to work in film and sports.
Heather will become a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees on appointment.
The Company confirms that there are no further details to disclose under paragraphs 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in respect of the new director.
