Statement

Trieste – Assicurazioni Generali SpA announces that it has sold today 510 million of ordinary shares of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, equal to 3.04% of its overall share capital.

At the same time Generali has terminated the collateralized derivative transaction, which it entered on 17th February 2017 in order to fully hedge the economic risk related to these shares. Generali Group retains a marginal exposure to Intesa Sanpaolo shares as an ordinary financial investment.
