DAVID McSWEENEY RETIRES FROM THE BOARD
Aspire Mining Limited (ASX: AKM, Aspire) wishes to announce the retirement of its long serving non-executive Chair, Mr David McSweeney.
David McSweeney was appointed a non-executive director and Chair in February 2010 on the change of Board and management with the acquisition of the Ovoot Coking Coal Project. David has overseen the achievement of many milestones in his tenure but with an increase in his involvement with the family engineering business, has decided to retire from the Aspire Board.
The Managing Director, David Paull, will assume an Executive Chair role on a temporary basis until a suitably qualified and experienced candidate is identified.
David McSweeney said that “it is with sadness that I depart from Aspire but I will keep a keen interest in it progressing to development of the Northern Railway infrastructure project and the Ovoot and Nuurstei Coking Coal Projects. It is an exciting time for Aspire.”
Aspire’s Managing Director, Mr David Paull said that “All at Aspire thank David for his invaluable counsel and contribution over his 8 years with us. Having recently completed the $16.5m capital raising in December 2017, David has left the Company is in an excellent position to pursue its objectives going forward.”
