Management changes
Aspen Group announces that its Chief Financial Officer, Mr Brett Fullarton, will be leaving Aspen and will be pursuing other opportunities.
Mr Fullarton was a key contributor in stabilising Aspen during a period of significant financial uncertainty and the reassessment of the business during 2012, including the focus on its core activities and disposal of non-core elements. He led the finance team in the development and implementation of Aspen’s debt reduction programme and was instrumental in executing the $101 million equity raising in September 2012.
Aspen’s Chief Executive Mr Clem Salwin said “The Board and I would like to thank Brett for his valuable contribution to Aspen. He provided tremendous support to Interim CEO Mr Hugh Martin and has positioned Aspen well to pursue its future strategic direction.”
The finance function across Aspen Group has been restructured. As a result, Aspen is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Adam Marrs Ekamper as Chief Financial Officer. Mr Marrs Ekamper is currently Aspen’s Group Financial Controller and has been with Aspen for over five years. He has over 14 years experience in finance roles across real estate development, investment, funds management and tax advisory.
Mr Salwin said “Adam has strong experience in the property sector and has held a number of finance roles in operating divisions at Aspen. I look forward to working with him in this new role.”
Mr Marrs Ekamper will commence in the role on 25 September 2013.
