Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Ascential plc (LSE: ASCL.L), the specialist information, data and analytics company, today announces the appointment of Charles Song as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 October 2020.

Charles is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Chinese technology business Linklogis.  Charles has over 25 years' experience in global capital markets, investment banking, commercial banking and corporate finance, having held a number of senior roles in global and local financial institutions across Asia including JP Morgan Chase, HSBC and China Resources Bank.

Scott Forbes, Non-Executive Chairman, said "I am delighted to welcome Charles to Ascential. Charles' extensive global experience, business building capabilities and experience, combined with his knowledge of the China and Asia markets are valuable to Ascential and the Board."
