NZX RELEASE SUSAN PETERSON APPOINTED AS INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
5 October 2020 – Arvida Group Limited (NZX:ARV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Peterson as a director to the Arvida Board effective 1 November 2020.
Arvida’s Chair, Peter Wilson, said “We are delighted to welcome Susan to the Arvida Board. Susan will bring an extensive range of skills and insights that she has gained from governance roles at a number of listed and private companies, along with her previous leadership roles within the banking and legal sectors. We believe that she will make a strong contribution and strengthen the Board’s capability.”
The Board has determined that Susan is an Independent Director pursuant to the NZX Listing Rules. Susan will hold office until Arvida’s next Annual Meeting, at which point she will stand for election by shareholders.
Susan is an experienced independent director on both NZX and ASX listed companies. She is currently an independent director of Trustpower, Vista Group, Property for Industry and Xero.
Susan is a member of the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal, was a past Ministerial Appointee to The National Advisory Council for the Employment of Women, and is a Board member of non-profit Global Women (NZ).
Once effective, the Arvida Board will comprise six independent directors being Peter Wilson (Chair), Michael Ambrose, Anthony Beverley, Susan Paterson, Susan Peterson and Paul Ridley-Smith.
