Artemis Resources Limited (ASX Code: ARV) announces a restructure of its Board of Directors as follows, with effect from 28 September 2011:

Artemis’ corporate strategy is to maximise shareholder returns through a combination of exploration success and quality project acquisition.

The Company's focus on gold is viewed as an important growth strategy for the company.

Mr. Guy Robertson, currently the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, is appointed to the Board as Executive Director. Guy has been involved in the mineral exploration business for many years and has acted as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of a number of ASX-listed companies. Guy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) and is a Chartered Accountant.

Ms Shannon Coates is appointed to the Board as a nonexecutive director. Shannon is a corporate advisor to the mineral exploration sector, and has acted as a Director and Company Secretary of a number of ASX, JSE and AIM mineral exploration companies. Shannon has a Bachelor of Laws and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance, Chartered Secretaries of Australia.

Mr Frans Voermans, who has in excess of 40 years experience in exploration, development and mining projects, continues as a non-executive director and technical consultant.

As part of the Board restructure, Messrs John Miles and George Frangeskides (both overseas non-executive directors) and Mr Graham Libbesson have resigned from the Board. .

As a consequence of this restructure, the Company now has a full complement of Australia-based directors with experience encompassing the fields of mining, exploration, corporate advisory and law.

The Board takes the opportunity to thank the outgoing directors for their significant contributions to the Company. Mr. George Frangeskides will continue to act as a consultant to the Company, assisting in corporate transactions and business development.

The Company will continue to focus on its gold projects, increasing value through exploration and with a longer term goal of taking the assets into production by obtaining access to the infrastructure of nearby gold mines.
