SMALLER RELATED PARTY TRANSACTION

Artemis Alpha Trust plc (the "Company") announces that it has today acquired 1,650,000 ordinary shares in Miton Group plc from Artemis Investment Management LLP ("Artemis") for a total consideration of £598,125.  This transaction is deemed to be a related party transaction as Artemis is part of the same group as the Company's investment manager, Artemis Fund Managers Limited.  The transaction amounts to a smaller related party transaction as defined in Listing Rule 11.1.10.
