Resignation of Director

Portland Limited (ASX:PLD) advise the resignation of Dr Ron Sekel OAM, as a director of the company, effective Monday 25[th] August 2008.

In recent months there have been increased time demands on Dr Sekel in other areas of his professional practice. Continuing as Chief Technical Officer of the company, Dr Sekel’s experience and expertise will continue to be available to Portland and strategically, to the Board.

Dr Sekel, an orthopaedic surgeon, was a founding director of Portland, prior to its listing in October 2005, for over 11 years and prior to listing had been Chairman of the company. Dr Sekel has been instrumental in the design and development of a number of orthopaedic devices manufactured and marketed by Portland.

The Board acknowledges the very significant contribution Ron has made over many years and are pleased that he will have a continuing role with the company.
