ARCHER POSITIONED FOR GROWTH
Following recent announcements advising the completion of drilling at Archer Exploration’s high grade manganese Carappee Hill Project, and the acquisition of the new Wilmington and World’s End Projects, I am pleased to announce the following developments which will position Archer for its next stage of growth.
Appointment of Executive Chairman
Effective 14 July 2008, I will relinquish the role of Chairman in favour of Mr Greg English who will be appointed Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
I will remain on the Board as a non-Executive Director and continue to play a part in the ongoing development and growth of the company.
Mr English, whose vision led to the listing of Archer Exploration in 2007, is currently a nonExecutive Director of the company. He is an experienced mining engineer and lawyer who has been integral to the company’s development to date, particularly with regards to the Jameson Tank (manganese), Wilmington (copper) and World’s End (phosphate) projects.
Appointment of an additional non-Executive Director
Experienced and well respected geologist Mr Gerard Anderson has agreed to join Archer as a non-Executive Director, with effect from 14 July 2008. Mr Anderson is currently Managing Director of ASX listed iron ore explorer Centrex Metals Limited.
Mr Anderson has over 30 years experience in exploration and mine geology. He has held senior management positions with Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd, Great Central Mines Pty Ltd, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd and Newmont Mining Australia Ltd (formerly Normandy Mining). Whilst working for Newmont Australian Ltd, Gerard was General Manager of the Golden Grove base metals mine from 1999 to 2004.
The Company will seek approval of members at the next AGM for the issue to Mr Anderson of 250,000 options with an exercise price of $0.25 and expiry date of three years.
Gerard’s iron ore and base metals exploration and operational experience will be invaluable as Archer seeks to develop its manganese and base metals projects.

Expansion of management team
During the past month Archer has strengthened its in house geological and management team as it moves to quickly advance the company’s suite of projects. Dr David Tilley has joined the company in the role of Senior Geologist and Mr Claude Walter has joined the company as Senior Field Technician.
A new home for Archer
Since ASX listing Archer has been assisted by, and shared offices, staff and facilities with, ASX listed uranium exploration company UraniumSA Limited. With effect on 14 July 2008, the company will move into new offices at Level 1, 135 Fullarton Road, Rose Park SA and will cease sharing facilities and staff with UraniumSA. I acknowledge and thank the executives of UraniumSA for their support of Archer in the company’s start-up year.
The high quality tenement portfolio strategically built up by Archer has enabled the company to attract mining industry professionals of the calibre of Mr Gerard Anderson, Dr Tilley and Mr Walter.
I am confident that Archer is well positioned for the future in terms of leadership, board and management skills, strategy and, importantly, mining and exploration targets.

ABOUT ARCHER EXPLORATION
Archer Exploration Limited is a iron ore, manganese, copper and phosphate explorer focused on the discovery of world-class deposits. The Company has carefully acquired a portfolio of whollyowned projects in the highly prospective Gawler Craton region of South Australia.
The Company’s Carappee Hill Project on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula contains iron ore grades of up to 57% and manganese grades of up to 53.8%. The Company is undertaking further exploration at Carappee Hill and is assessing a range of options for the further development of this exciting project.
The Company is also well advanced on the exploration of its Olympic Dam style iron oxidecopper-gold-uranium (IOCG-U) deposit. The Evelyn Dam anomaly has early geophysical characteristics similar to those of Olympic Dam and the recent Carrapateena discovery.
The World’s End Project area covers the historic Fairview Phosphate Mine which was last mined in 1903 when it yielded 100 t of hand-picked phosphate ore grading 25% P2O5.
