Item 5.03. Amendments to Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws; Change in Fiscal Year.

On May 3, 2012, the Board of Directors of Archer Daniels Midland Company (the “Company”) determined, in accordance with the Company’s Bylaws and upon the recommendation of the Audit Committee, that the Company’s fiscal year shall begin on January 1 and end on December 31 of each year, starting on January 1, 2013. The Company’s current fiscal year will end on June 30, 2012, and the transition period of July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 will be covered on a Form 10-K.

A copy of the press release announcing the change in fiscal year is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
