ARCADIS AWARDED US\$ 65 MILLION CONTRACT IN BRAZIL For support services for Nuclear Power Plant

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 7 December 2010 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting, engineering and management services company, today announced that its Brazilian subsidiary ARCADIS Logos has signed a US\$ 65 million contract with Eletrobrás Termonuclear S.A. - Eletronuclear to provide project management and technical support services for the implementation of the ANGRA 3 Nuclear Power Unit, the third and last thermonuclear power plant to be built at the Angra dos Reis Thermonuclear Complex in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Altogether ANGRA will have a total installed capacity of 3,500 MW after almost 40 years since the implementation of the first unit.

The total investment for ANGRA 3 is expected to amount to US\$ 4.5 billion and will allow for an additional installed capacity of 1,400 MW, meeting the demand of one third of the consumers of the entire State of Rio de Janeiro. The project completion is scheduled for the first semester of 2016, which means that the ARCADIS Logos contract will last 60 months.

At the peak of the works, there will be a staff of about 120 ARCADIS Logos employees working on this project in the Rio de Janeiro office and at the construction site, in Angra dos Reis.

That experience contributed to winning the contract signed now with the owner (Eletronuclear). For the future, with the experience accumulated after ANGRA 3, ARCADIS Logos will hold a prominent position in the select group of companies qualified to deliver project and construction management services for the implementation of other nuclear power plants", said Manoel Antonio A.
