NEW DIRECTOR HEALTH & SAFETY FOR ARCADIS

ARNHEM, THE NETHERLANDS – April 26, 2007 – ARCADIS (NASDAQ: ARCAF, EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting and engineering company, today announced that Mr. Bryan West has been appointed as of April 16, 2007 to the position of Director of Health & Safety (H&S) for ARCADIS. The appointment is a logical next step after the introduction of a global H&S policy in the Company last year.

Mr. West has extensive experience in H&S matters in the United States as well as ìn Europe. He has worked on the development and management of H&S programs for smaller and larger American companies on domestic sites and locations abroad. His last employer was Whirlpool Corporation, where he was a Director for Global Health & Safety for a number of years.
