PRESS RELEASE

Arco (TN), May 31, 2024 – Aquafil announces that the Board of Directors, convened today in plenary session, acknowledged that the Independent Director Prof. Francesco Profumo resigned from his position, due to taking on other assignments involving excessive time commitment, and effective as of today's date. In light of his resignation, the Board of Directors, pursuant to Article 2386, paragraph 1, of the Italian Civil Code and with the Board of Statutory Auditors' approval, resolved to replace the Independent Director Prof. Francesco Profumo co-opting Independent Director Mr. Roberto Siagri effective from today, thus ensuring full operating continuity.

The Company would like to thank the resigning Director Prof. Francesco Profumo for the successful activity carried out in these years within the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Appointment and Remuneration Committee.

The Board of Directors also verified that Mr. Roberto Siagri meets the requirements necessary to hold this position, in accordance with applicable primary and secondary legislation, thus confirming that the new composition of the Board of Directors complies with regulatory and statutory provisions.

In particular, the Board of Directors positively evaluated the independence of the Director Mr. Roberto Siagri, who was also nominated Chairman of the Appointment and Remuneration Committee. On the basis of the information available to the Company, Mr. Roberto Siagri does not hold any Aquafil S.p.A. shares to date.

It should be noted that the resigning Director Prof. Francesco Profumo: i) was qualified as an independent director under applicable laws and regulations; ii) did not enter into any agreement with the Company in consideration of his departure from the Board of Directors.

Aquafil is a pioneer in the circular economy also thanks to the ECONYL® regeneration system, an innovative and sustainable process able to create new products from waste and give life to an endless cycle. The nylon waste is collected in locations all over the world and includes industrial waste but also products – such as fishing nets and rugs – that have reached the end of their useful life. Such waste is processed to obtain a raw material – caprolactam – with the same chemical and performance characteristics as those from fossil sources. The polymers produced from ECONYL® caprolactam are distributed to the Group's production plants, where they are transformed into yarn for rugs carpet flooring and for clothing.

Founded in 1965, Aquafil is one of the main producers of nylon in Italy and worldwide. The Group is present on three different continents, employing about 2,650 people at 19 production sites located in Italy, Slovenia, Unites States, China, Croatia, Chile, Thailand and Japan.
