TRADING UPDATE AND BOARD CHANGES

Trading Update

The Group's Aptitude Software and Financial Systems businesses continue to perform in line with the Board's expectations. Consistent with this stage of the financial year, 95% of total expected revenue for 2015 is now contracted. High forward revenue visibility is a benefit of the Group's annual licensing model.

Appointments and Board Structure

Microgen is pleased to announce the appointment of Ivan Martin to the Board. Mr Martin will initially join the Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman Designate on 1 January 2016 before assuming the role of Non-Executive Chairman after the release of the 2015 Results.

Mr Martin (60) will chair the Nomination Committee and be a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Mr Martin is currently Non-Executive Chairman of both FDM Group plc and Red Topco Limited (trading as Red), a specialist SAP-based IT services business. Previously Mr Martin was a member of Misys plc's board and headed their banking software division until 2005. Between 2007 and 2013, he was Executive Chairman of Sesame Bankhall Group and Non-Executive Director of Avelo.

The Managing Directors of the Group's two operating businesses have been attending Board Meetings by invitation since 2013 and will formally join the Board on 1 January 2016. Simon Baines (44) joined Microgen in 2010 as Managing Director of the Financial Systems business, prior to which he worked in private equity covering financial services technology companies. Tom Crawford (47) joined Microgen in 2003 and was appointed Head of Aptitude Software USA operations in 2010 before being promoted to Managing Director of Aptitude Software in 2013, a role that divides his time between Boston and London.

Martyn Ratcliffe, will step down as Chairman and as a Director after the release of the 2015 Results allowing a smooth transition to Mr Martin.

Regulatory Information - Ivan Martin

As at 21 October 2015 Mr Martin does not currently have any interest in any ordinary shares in Microgen. Mr Martin is Non-Executive Chairman of FDM Group plc.

There is no additional information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R relating to the appointment to the Board of Mr Martin.

Regulatory Information - Simon Baines

As at 21 October 2015 Mr Baines is the beneficial owner of 9,523 ordinary shares in Microgen and has an interest in 650,000 unvested share options.

There is no additional information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R relating to the appointment to the Board of Mr Baines.

Regulatory Information - Tom Crawford

As at 21 October 2015 Mr Crawford is the beneficial owner of 129,551 ordinary shares in Microgen and has an interest in 650,000 unvested share options.

There is no additional information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R relating to the appointment to the Board of Mr Crawford.
