Appointment of Executive Director

Reference is made to the amendments to the Bank's Memorandum & Articles of Association, approved at the 2024 Annual General Meeting for the ex officio appointment of the Bank's CEO as executive director on the Bank's Board of Directors. The Bank would like to inform that following receipt of regulatory approval, the Bank's CEO Marcel Cassar will be appointed executive director as from 1 January 2025.

Marcel Cassar resides at 3, Triq il-Providenza, Balzan BZN1344. He commenced his career in 1987 with Price Waterhouse Malta followed by MIBA/MFSC, now the MFSA (1991-1996). He was General Manager at Lombard Bank Malta plc (1996-2004) and First Executive Vice President and CFO at FIMBank plc (2004-2015). He joined APS Bank as CEO in 2016. He served as Chairman of the Malta Bankers' Association between 2018-2020 and 2022-2024, which tenures led to a seat on the board of the Brussels-based European Banking Federation (EBF). Marcel Cassar is a CPA, a fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants, and holds an MBA in Bank Financial Management jointly from the University of Wales and Manchester Business School (1995).

There are no matters concerning Marcel Cassar that require disclosure under Capital Markets Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.
