Awarded long-term contract renewal with APA Group

Service Stream Limited (ASX Code: SSM) announces the awarding of a new long term metering services contract with APA Group (ASX Code: APA). APA owns and operates gas transmission and network infrastructure across Australia.

The new five (5) year contract signed with Service Stream’s wholly owned subsidiary AMRS (Aust) Pty Limited (AMRS) covers the provision of gas meter reading services in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Alice Springs. The contract will employ in excess of 100 people nationally and is estimated to be worth $23 million over the term.

AMRS forms part of the Service Stream’s utilities infrastructure services division where annual revenues exceed $150 million. AMRS’ 800 plus field based staff deliver a range of metering services and associated field services to utilities and local Councils nationally. AMRS is responsible for delivering over 27 million data reads per annum to customers in the electricity, water and gas sectors.

Commenting on the announcement Service Stream Managing Director and CEO Mr Patrick Flannigan said: “We are delighted to have extended our national partner status with APA for a further 5 years and look forward to building on the relationship with our expanding services offering.”
