APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

APA Group (APA) Chairman Mr Len Bleasel AM, today announced the appointment of Mr John Allister Fletcher to the Board of Directors of Australian Pipeline Limited, the responsible entity for Australian Pipeline Trust and APT Investment Trust. Mr Fletcher’s appointment is effective as of 27 February 2008.

Mr Fletcher was previously an AGL appointed director of Australian Pipeline Limited during the period 2000 to 2005. Following his resignation from AGL in September 2003, it was agreed that Mr Fletcher remain on the Board until a suitable AGL representative was appointed, which occurred in March 2005.

Mr Fletcher is currently a director of Babcock & Brown Power and was a director of Foodland Associated Limited and NGC Limited of New Zealand. Mr Fletcher was also a director of Integral Energy until his resignation on 7 February 2008.

Mr Fletcher brings a wide commercial and financial practical knowledge to the Board, which includes over 35 years experience in a number of energy businesses.

Mr Fletcher held a number of executive positions in AGL prior to his retirement, including chief financial officer.
