AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND BANKING GROUP LIMITED – DEFERRED SETTLEMENT TRADING, CONVERTIBLE PREFERENCE SHARES

On 23 August 2011 Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited announced an offer of Convertible Preference Shares (“CPS3”). Please refer to the prospectus dated 23 August 2011 (as replaced by a replacement prospectus dated 31 August 2011) for information regarding the terms of CPS3.

DEFERRED SETTLEMENT TRADING

It is expected that 13,400,000 CPS3 will commence trading on a deferred settlement basis at 11.00am (Melbourne time) on Thursday, 29 September 2011, under the ASX code ANZPC.
