DIRECTOR RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT

• Dr Simon Buckingham resigns as Non-Executive Director

• Dr Wenyi Gu appointed as Non-Executive Director

Admedus Limited (ASX:AHZ) (“the Company”) announces that Dr Simon Buckingham has resigned as Non-Executive Director of Admedus Limited, effective 4 October 2018.

Dr Buckingham intends to focus his efforts on early-stage private companies, not-for-profit foundations and advisory opportunities.

Admedus Chairman, Mr John Seaberg, thanked Dr Buckingham for his contribution to the Company, particularly his active participation during the recent recapitalisation.

“Simon has been a highly valued member of the Admedus Board and the entire Company has benefited from his knowledge and counsel. His contribution has been greatly appreciated and we wish him much success in the future,” he said.

The Company further announces the appointment of Dr Wenyi Gu to its Board of Directors as Nominee Non-Executive Director for Star Bright Holding Ltd.

Dr Gu currently works as a Research Fellow for the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland (UQ) where he began his post-doctoral work in 2001.

Dr Gu holds a master’s degree in veterinary science and has completed his PhD study in biochemistry and molecular biology at Australian National University (ANU) and later worked at John Curtin Medical School (ANU).

Dr Gu also held a Peter Doherty Fellowship (2006-2009) and was supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to work at Harvard Medical School, Harvard University as a visiting fellow.

Before engaging in nanomedicine (focusing on drug delivery and cancer therapy), he worked on RNAi-based gene therapy for several years at Translational Research Institute (TRI).

Dr Gu’s research has been extensively published in respected industry journals such as Nature Communications, Ad. Materials, ACS Nano and PNAS USA.

Admedus Chairman, John Seaberg, welcomed today’s announcement;

“We are delighted to welcome Dr Gu to Admedus’ Board. His extensive experience in medical research and bioengineering will offer a new clinical perspective to our Board. As the Company continues to pursue scientific innovation and development, his insight and expertise will be sought and appreciated.”

Dr Gu is the first of three Directors to be nominated by major investor, Star Bright Holding Ltd, who recently increased their interest in the Company to 19.99%. A further two Directors will be nominated by Star Bright and communicated to all shareholders in due course.

Attached is an Appendix 3Z (Final Director’s Interest Notice) for Dr Buckingham and an Appendix 3X (Initial Director’s Interest Notice) for Dr Gu.
