Appointment of New Chairman
30 November 2016
Anteo Diagnostics Limited (ASX: ADO) announces the appointment of Dr John Hurrell as NonExecutive Chairman of the Anteo Group. Dr Hurrell has more than 30 years’ experience in the global biotechnology and life science industries. Dr Hurrell has served on the Anteo Board for over 3 years and is very familiar with the company and its technologies. He has a strong track record of success in starting, building, growing and improving the profitability, performance and value of life science and healthcare companies. Currently Dr Hurrell is a Consultant to PTS Diagnostics Inc. and serves as both President, Asia Pacific Region and Chairman, PTS Diagnostics India Pvt. Ltd.
Given Dr Hurrell’s appointment as Chairman, he will resign as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and will be replaced on this committee by Mr Rolf Sickman.
“The Anteo Group is an exciting business with significant opportunity for growth. The acquisition of DIAsource at the start of the year was a strategic move for the Group providing new technology, infrastructure and geographic resources to Anteo. We still have some significant funding obligations related to this acquisition and the Board is currently addressing these. Given the changes at Board level and the recent appointments to the executive team, I have asked Dr Jef Vangenechten, Group CEO, and Mr Peter Harding-Smith, Group CFO, to work with the executive staff to undertake a thorough strategic review of the current and near term challenges and opportunities along with available options” said Dr Hurrell.
