Ansell Limited appoints an additional Non-executive Director
Ansell Limited announced today that Mr Peter Day will join the Ansell Board with effect from 20 August 2007.
Mr Day’s most recent role was Executive General Manager, Finance of Amcor Limited; he will retire from full-time executive duties later in 2007. Mr Day previously held senior executive positions in the Rio Tinto/CRA Group and Bonlac Foods, and was Deputy Chairman of the Australian Securities Commission from 1997 to 1999. During part of the 1990’s he was also Chairman of the Australian Accounting Standards Board.
In announcing the new appointment, Ansell’s Chairman, Peter Barnes said “We are delighted that Peter Day has agreed to join the Ansell Board. Peter’s experience and his strong and diversified background in accounting and finance will further strengthen our Board and complement our existing expertise as we pursue our growth objectives, both organically and by way of acquisition”.
