Notification of transactions by Directors / PDMRs

The Company announces that awards of Ordinary Shares under the Company's Non-Cyclical Share Award Plan ("NCA") were made at nil cost on 9 June 2023 to Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR").

An award has been made to Alison Atkinson and Monique Carter following the start of their employment with Anglo American. Both Alison and Monique have been granted an award of shares that mirrors the terms of the award that was granted to Directors and PDMRs under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan ("LTIP") as announced on 10 March 2023. As such, the awards will vest in March 2026, subject to the satisfaction of performance conditions as outlined in the Company's 2022 Directors' Remuneration Report. Any vested Shares will be subject to a further holding period of two years and be released in March 2028.

In addition, Monique Carter was granted a further award in compensation for incentives forfeited from her previous employer following her appointment to Anglo American's Executive Leadership Team. This award will vest in 3 tranches aligned to the vesting dates of her previous awards.

All awards granted are subject to the individual's continued employment.
