MOVERS AND SHAKERS Tahilyani to head Tata Digital, Venky Replaces Him as Tata AIA Boss

Bengaluru | Mumbai: In a significant top-deck change, Tata Digital has appointed Naveen Tahilyani as the chief executive and managing director of the group's ecommerce unit, replacing Pratik Pal. Tahilyani is currently the CEO and MD of Tata AIA Life Insurance, which has appointed Venkatachalam H Venkatachalam-popularly known as Venky-as his replacement Venky's appointment is subject to regulatory approval. Tahilyani will assume his new role on February 19. The move is seen as part of a larger plan to give momentum and executional heft to the digital ecommerce entity, officials close to the development said.
Sources said Tahilyani was handpicked by Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran after having demonstrated good execution in the insurance, banking and asset management business of the group.
Pal, who launched the much-hyped superapp Tata Neu, will continue in Tata Digital to "ensure continuity and contribute with his wealth of experience" to the firm, according to a company statement. Insiders say Chandrasekaran had been dissatisfied with the overall state of the entity which houses the Tata Neu superapp.
Nokia Elevates Tarun Chhabra as India Chief

New Delhi: Finnish telecom giant Nokia has named Tarun Chhabra as the new India head. Chhabra, currently head of mobile networks and senior vice president at Nokia, and will assume the new position from April 1.
Sanjay Malik, who has served as the head of Nokia India for almost eight years, has decided to retire from March 31, Nokia said in a statement Tuesday.
The reorganisation at the India unit is part of a global restructuring plan announced in October 2023 by Nokia to cut costs. As part of the plan, the company might have shed over 11,000 jobs globally.
"These actions will better position the company for longer-term growth and enable it to navigate the current market uncertainty," the company said.

- These unaudited consolidated financial results have been prepared in accordance with the recognition and measurement principles of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS34) 'Interim Financial Reporting' as notified under Section 133 of the Companies Act, 2013, read with the Companies (Indian Accounting Standards) Rules, 2015, as amended. The said financial results represent the results of the Company, its subsidiaries (together referred to as 'Group') and its share in results of associates and jointly controlled entities which have been prepared in accordance with Ind AS-110 'Consolidated Financial Statements' and Ind AS 28 'Investment in Associates and Joint Ventures'.
- Post closure of the quarter ended December 31, 2023, the Finance and Investment Committee of the Board of Directors at its meeting held on January 18, 2024, allotted 1,68,91,891 equity shares to eligible qualified institutional buyers at the issue price of ₹ 296 per equity share, through Qualified Institutions Placement, aggregating to ₹500 crores.
Pursuant to the allotment of equity shares, the paid-up equity share capital of the Company has increased from ₹64,81,92,670 consisting of 32,40,96,335 equity shares to ₹68,19,76,452 consisting of 34,09,88,226 equity shares of face value of ₹2 each.
- During the quarter ended December 31, 2023, the Company approved the Preferential Issue of up to 9,02,527 fully paid equity shares of face value of ₹ 2 per equity shares, at an issue price of ₹277 (including premium of ₹ 275 each) per equity share to M/s Gagandeep Credit Capital Private Limited (entity belonging to Public category) aggregating upto ₹ 25 crores and upto 17,85,714 fully convertible warrants
("warrants"), each carrying a right exercisable by the warrant holder to subscribe t issue price (including the warrant subscription price and warrant exercise price) of ₹ 280 per warrant, to Shri Ashok Sarin Anant Raj LLP (entity belonging to Promoter group category) aggregating upto ₹ 50 crores, which was further approved by the shareholders of the Company at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on January 13, 2024. - The Company is in the process of taking necessary approvals from the Stock Exchanges for the allotment of securities.

हजरत निजामद्दीन रेलवे स्टेशन के बाहर से बस स्टैंड हटा दिया गया है। रेलवे के अनुरोध पर डीटीसी ने बस स्टैंड को स्टेशन से लगभग 200 मीटर दूर कर दिया है। जिसकी वजह से स्टेशन के एंट्री गेट के पास लगने वाले जाम से लोगों को छटकारा मिलेगा। इसका असर पहले ही दिन दिखना शुरू हो गया। मंगलवार को रेलवे ने यहां पर सड़कों के चौडीकरण का काम भी शुरू कर दिया है।
हजरत निजामुद्दीन रेलवे स्टेशन से वंदे भारत, राजधानी जैसी प्रमुख ट्रेनें चलती हैं। यहां से 26 ट्रेनें (अप-डाउन) चलती हैं। इसके अलावा रोजाना 47 ट्रेनें (अप-डाउन) इस स्टेशन से गुजरती हैं। लेकिन स्टेशन तक एक फीडर रोड है, जहां पर बस स्टैंड होने की वजह से भीड हो जाती है। बसें रेलवे स्टेशन के एंट्री और एग्जिट पर खड़ी रहती थीं, जिससे जाम की स्थिति बन जाती थी। इससे यात्रियों को स्टेशन पहुंचने में काफी परेशानी का सामना करना रेलवे स्टेशन पर जाम कम हो। पडता था।

एमसीडी के सालाना बजट पर चर्चा के लिए मंगलवार को भी सदन की बैठक बुलाई गई। दूसरे दिन भी बीजेपी पार्षदों ने जमकर हंगामा किया, जिसके चलते मेयर को कुछ देर के लिए बैठक स्थगित भी करनी पड़ी। दोबारा शुरू हुई बैठक में बजट में संशोधन प्रस्तावों को पेश किया गया, जिसमें मेयर के विवेकाधिकार बजट को 9 करोड रुपये प्रति वर्ष से बढ़ाकर 1500 करोड़ रुपये कर दिया गया। वहीं बीजेपी पार्षदों ने इसका विरोध किया।
एमसीडी में नेता विपक्ष राजा इकबाल सिंह ने कहा कि आम आदमी पार्टी की नजर एमसीडी कर्मचारियों के वेतन फंड व सभी कमिटियों फंड को छीनने पर है। गार्बेज मैनेजमेंट फंड के नाम पर आप पार्टी इस राशि को हड़पने की योजना बना रही है। मेयर ने रूरल वॉर्ड कमिटियों का बजट 1.5 करोड़, रूरल रोड का बजट 21 करोड, अनाधिकृत कॉलोनियों का बजट 2 करोड़, एजकेशन, इंजीनियरिंग, हॉर्टिकल्चर, हेल्थ, डेम्स कमिटियों के 2.5 करोड, लैंड स्केपिंग के 15 करोड रुपये व बाकी 43 कमियियों के बजट को अपने 1500 करोड़ रुपये कर लिया है। इसमें 500 करोड़
से गैरकाननी और असंवैधानिक है। बीजेपी पार्षद योगेश वर्मों ने भी विवेकाधिकार फंड का विरोध
किया। उधर, मेयर शैली ओबरॉय ने कहा कि बजट पर चर्चा के लिए 5 से 8 तारीख निर्धारित की गई थी। पहले दिन बजट पर चर्चा ठीक हुई, लेकिन दुसरे दिन बीजेपी पार्षदों ने बजट पर चर्चा ही नहीं होने दी। गुरुवार को बजट पर चर्चा के लिए आखिरी दिन है। 8 फरवरी को सदन के नेता मकेश गोल बजट पेश करेंगे। उन्होंने बीजेपी पार्षदों से आग्रह किया गया वे भी अपना सझाव दें। डिप्टी मेयर आले मोहम्मद और नेता सदन मुकेश गोयल ने विवेकाधिकार (डिस्क्रेशनरी) फंड में शामिल कर कहा कि जिस उम्मीद से लोगों ने एमसीडी में आप को चुना है, उनके उम्मीदों के मताबिक ही बजट
■ रोहिणी कोर्ट : एमसीडी में इकलौते 'ट्रांसजेंडर' पार्षद बॉबी किन्नर के चुनाव को चुनौती देते हुए अदालत में एक शिकायत दी गई है। शिकायतकर्ता वरुणा ढाका 2022 में एमसीडी चुनाव में कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार थीं और जय किशन( सुल्तानपुरी माजरा से चार बार के विधायक) की बहू हैं। उन्होंने आम आंदमी पार्टी(आप) नेता पर अपनी सही पहचान छुपाने और अनुसूचित जाति का जाली सर्टिफिकेट बनाकर जनता को धोखा देने का आरोप लगाया है। कोर्ट शिकायत के संबंध में साक्ष्य दर्ज कर रही है। आगे की कार्यवाही 9 फरवरी को होगी।

नंद नगरी में घर के बाहर की फायरिंग ■ विस. नई दिल्ली : नॉर्थ-ईस्ट दिल्ली के नंद नगरी इलाके में सोमवार देर रात एक घर के बाहर फायरिंग का मामला सामने आया है। डीसीपी (नॉर्थ ईस्ट) डॉ. जॉय टिकीं ने बताया कि शुरुआती जांच के बाद किसी की जान को खतरे में डालने और आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पुलिस के मुताबिक, ललित (23) नंद नगरी के ए-3 ब्लॉक में रहते हैं। उन्होंने सोमवार देर रात करीब 12:15 पर घर के बाहर फायरिंग होने का दावा किया। नंद नगरी पलिस को देर रात 12:51 पर कॉल मिली। दावा किया था कि एक रिश्तेदार के साथ कुछ लोग आए थे, जिन्होंने गोलियां चलाईं। पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची तो दो अनजान लोगों के पैदल आकर फायरिंग करने की बात सामने आई। पुलिस ने लकड़ी के दरवाजे से दो गोलियां बरामद की।

- 31 दिसंबर, 2023 को समाप्त तिमाही और नौमाही के उपरोक्त अलेखापरीक्षित समेकित वित्तीय परिणामों की समीक्षा लेखापरीक्षा समिति द्वारा की गई है और निदेशक मंडल द्वारा 6 फरवरी. 2024 को आयोजित उनकी संबंधित बैठकों में अनुमोदित किया गया है। वैधानिक लेखा परीक्षकों ने कंपनी के उपरोक्त वित्तीय परिणामों की सीमित समीक्षा की है।
