Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On June 5, 2013, the Board of Directors of Amtech Systems, Inc. (the "Registrant") eliminated the executive officer positions of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Accounting Officer which were held by Jeong Mo Hwang and Robert T. Hass, respectively, from the Registrant. Among his other duties, the Registrant's Chief Executive Officer, Fokko Pentinga, has assumed the duties of the Chief Technology Officer position and the Registrant's Chief Financial Officer, Bradley C. Anderson, has assumed the duties of the Chief Accounting Officer position.
