Catherine Brenner to join AMP Limited Board

AMP Limited Chairman Peter Mason today announced Ms Catherine Brenner will join the AMP Limited board as a non-executive director, effective from 16 June 2010.

Ms Brenner has been a non-executive director of AMP Life Limited since 1 May 2009 and is also a non-executive director of Coca Cola Amatil Limited and Centennial Coal Company Limited. In addition, Ms Brenner is a member of the Takeovers Panel.

Ms Brenner’s career has included working as corporate solicitor with Phillips Fox followed by 10 years at ABN AMRO in various roles culminating in her appointment as Managing Director, Investment Banking, ABN AMRO.

“Catherine brings significant financial services experience together with knowledge of AMP gained through her service on our Life company board,” said Mr Mason.

Ms Brenner holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.

Ms Catherine Brenner

Catherine Brenner, aged 39, was a Managing Director, Investment Banking at ABN AMRO. She has extensive experience across the public and private sectors in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structuring.

Ms Brenner is a non-executive director of Coca Cola Amatil Limited where she is a member of the related party committee and the nominations committee and is chair of the compensation committee.

Ms Brenner is also a non-executive director of Centennial Coal Company Limited where she is chair of the remuneration committee.

In addition Ms Brenner is a member of the Takeovers Panel. She is a trustee of the Sydney Opera House and a director of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. She is chair of the audit, finance and risk committees for both organisations.

Ms Brenner holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
