Changes to AMP executive team
AMP Limited today announced changes to its executive team, effective from 1 January 2008.
General Manager Human Resources and Strategy Peter Hodgett, who also has executive responsibility for the Cobalt/Gordian business, will leave AMP at the end of this year following the announcement today of the sale of that business.
The Human Resources and Strategy functions will be separated under the new Chief Executive Officer, Craig Dunn, effective 1 January 2008. The current Director, Strategy, Jonathan Deane, will be promoted to the position of General Manager, Group Strategy, reporting to Mr Dunn. Mr Deane has been with AMP for seven years, and before joining AMP had 10 years experience in investment banking and private equity in the UK.
An internal and external search for a new General Manager, Human Resources, is now underway.
AMP Chief Executive Officer Andrew Mohl said: “With the sale of Cobalt, the clear turnaround in AMP’s culture and a well-supported strategic plan in place for the company, Peter has achieved all that I asked him to do when he took on this role, and he’s now ready for fresh challenges.”
Mr Hodgett said he had enjoyed his time at AMP, particularly the opportunity to work with an array of talented people and to drive change in a wide range of roles.
“I’m looking forward to the next phase of my career and, as an ongoing shareholder, seeing AMP prosper in the years ahead,” Mr Hodgett said.
