PRESS RELEASE

AMOEBA granted Marketing Authorisation for R&D for 10 industrial sites in Germany

Lyon, 22 September 2016 - AMOEBA (FR0011051598 - AMEBA), the producer of a biological biocide capable of eliminating the risk of waterborne bacteria, has announced today that it has been granted a marketing authorisation for research and development for 10 industrial sites in Germany.

The authorisation was issued by the German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health that is one of the strictest authorities in Europe in the field of environmental and occupational protection.

Furthermore, thanks to the new studies and tests carried out by AMOEBA since obtaining the R&D authorisation in France, the German authority has issued an unrestricted marketing authorisation allowing the discharge of the product into the environment.

On the whole, the tests have been carried out, or are currently being carried out, on 20 industrial sites across Europe covering a wide range of sectors.

"Allstudies conducted by our teams since 2010 have allowed us to establish the safety and effectiveness of BIOMEBA which have greatly contributed to obtaining this approval. This application for R&D a few months away from the provisional marketing authorisation application also allows us to build a relationship with the German regulatory authorities in order to understand their approach.", stated Fabrice Plasson, President of AMOEBA's Board of Directors.

About AMOEBA: Based in Chassieu - France, AMOEBA develops a biological biocide capable of eliminating waterborne bacterial risk (legionella, pseudomonas, listeria, etc.). This entirely natural solution is presented as an alternative to the chemical treatments traditionally used in the industrial sector and complies with the new regulations in terms of chemical emissions into the environment. In a worldwide market for chemical biocides estimated to be worth EUR 21 bn(1), AMOEBA is today concentrating on the segment of industrial air-cooled towers (ACT), estimated to be worth EUR 1.7 bn(2). AMOEBA is continuing with the regulatory procedures necessary to obtain provisional MA for all European countries for the "Air Cooled Towers" application. AMOEBA is quoted on compartment C of the Euronext Paris stock exchange and joined the CAC® Small index on 21st September 2015. For more information: www.amoeba-biocide.com
