Amiad (AIM: AFS), a leading global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions, announces that Mr. Amos Shalev, who has been a Non-executive Director of the Company since January 2010, has resigned from the Board of Directors of Amiad with immediate effect to pursue other interests.

Yariv Avisar, Chairman of Amiad, said: "We would like to thank Amos for his contribution to Amiad and the Board during his tenure as a director. Since he joined Amiad over nine years ago, the Company has progressed significantly and he leaves the Company in a stronger position. On behalf of the Board and all of Amiad, we wish him all the best with his future endeavours."

Following the departure of Mr. Shalev, the Board of Amiad now comprises one Executive Director (the CEO) and seven Non-Executive Directors, of which five are considered to be independent including two Statutory External Directors as required under Israeli law.
