Item 8.01 Other Information

On September 3, 2010, American Vanguard Corporation issued a press release announcing that the United States District Court for the District of Columbia had denied the Company’s motion for emergency relief from a stop sale order (relating to a fungicide product line) issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The full text of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
