Amadeus AG english

Amadeus is keeping Sales almost on Prior Year Level Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Anti-cyclical investments in operations Frankfurt/Main, January 23, 2003. After nine months of fiscal year 2002/2003 Amadeus AG Human Resource Services and Solution Provider achieves consolidated sales revenues of KEuro 47.506, a decline of 2,8 per cent (excluding Amadeus IT Consulting GmbH, sold March 27, 2002). The last quarter of calendar year 2002 meant a further deterioration for the human resource services market in Germany. Given a market decline of at least 15 per cent in 2002 the German staffing industry has seen its worst year ever. In this market environment the Amadeus Group is holding up well and is further extending their market leadership in finance and accounting. At 31.12.2002 the EBITA totals KEuro 4.009. Compared to prior year (excluding Amadeus IT) the EBITA declined by 37,5 per cent. The EBITA margin after nine months results 8,4 per cent (prior year 12,9 per cent; excluding Amadeus IT). The net income after minorities amount to KEuro 1.477, a decline of 47,9 per cent on prior year (excluding Amadeus IT). The undiluted earnings per share amount to Euro 0,28 (prior year Euro 0,54; excluding Amadeus IT). For fiscal year 2002/2003 the Management Board expects sales revenues of some Euro 63 Mio and an EBITA margin of approx. 8,5 per cent. Currently it can not be assumed that the staffing industry will recover in calendar year 2003. In the future the Amadeus Group will develop stronger than the market due to the positioning and specialisation as well as the already realised investment in the extension of the operational business.
