ALLOMAK ACQUIRES AUTO ACCESSORIES COMPANY KT CABLE

Australia’s premier automotive aftermarket specialist, Allomak Limited (ASX:AMA) today announced an agreement to acquire the operations of KT Cable Accessories Pty Ltd. Queensland based KT Cable was established in 1984 and is now a leading provider of wiring and cabling accessories within the Asia Pacific Region.

Mr Rob Allan, Chief Executive Officer of Allomak, said the acquisition would complement the recent addition of Alanco to the group in the supply of auto accessory products and build on existing capability in related markets such as marine.

“The acquisition of KT Cable will strengthen the Allomak group reach nationally in the supply of world class auto accessories, with clear synergies between other companies in the group,” Mr Allan said.

“This award winning company, which distributes over 2,000 products, primarily to the auto aftermarket, is a good fit with our stable of high performing companies.”

Mr Lachlan McGillivray, Managing Director of KT Cable said: "We’ve had phenomenal growth every year we’ve been in business, with the Allomak association set to provide an ideal boost to our reach and resources.”

“We’ve just received our first order from the United Kingdom for our LED Trailer Plugs, facilitating exports into 17 countries in Europe,” Mr McGillivray said.

“With Allomak, we now have the capability to expand our reach even further, into new markets such as the United States of America.”

KT Cable is the winner of Gold Coast Family Business Awards (2002), Manufacturing and Wholesale Business of the Year, BEX Awards (2003) Gold Coast Mayor’s Innovation Award for ‘Most Innovative New Product’ for LED Trailer Plugs (2007) and the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Silver Award for Excellence in Marketing (2007).

The business has also achieved the highest quality standards with Quality Assurance Accreditation ISO 9001:9002.

Allomak advises that the acquisition earnings multiple of the transaction, based on the expected performance from KT Cable in FY2008, is within the parameters of previous acquisitions and within the previously advised target range. The acquisition payments will be a combination of cash and Allomak equity. By the time of expected completion and some integration costs, KT Cable is expected to make a small positive contribution to the FY2008 earnings.
